Windows 7, Knoppix, Memtest, Ultimate Boot CD.... it doesn't matter what I try to run, I can't do it unless I disable all but one core on my processor in the bios. It will boot then, but it is SLOW. Leaving cores enabled will either blue screen or simply reboot in a loop.
I've tried on two different motherboards... I can't even post with one of them.
I've tried with two different styles of memory, and all sorts of configurations... no fix.
This all happened after my power supply failed. It has since been RMA'd, and IS working. It killed the motherboard when it went, and that has since been replaced. I know it doesn't happen often, but is my CPU dead? I'm kindof at a loss as to what else to try.
Thanks for any help.
Edit: Heat isn't an issue. The bios shows under 40 C idle.
