when i had my ears pierced in that same area i had the same problem on both sides of my ear. unfortunately i would roll around when i sleep so they never healed and i ended up removing the rings before they completely healed. it took a while for the bumps to disappear.

A serious answer: Call the shop that did the piercing. They'll have plenty of experience with this type of infection and they'll give you the proper antibiotic or other meds. They might suggest using salt water to dry it up.
