Muffstah: try getting in touch with your county/city code enforcement office. I had to do this with our idiot neighbors for various reasons (yard full of trash and scrap lumber being one of them) and they took care of things for me.

These guys are pretty messy people too I might add. Trash cans are left in front of their house. The ones that should probably go in your backyard so nobody sees this. They have weeds that are knee high. Bird cages in the front yard. I think I'll take your advice and see what I can get done.
Yup. All that stuff falls under your county code. Dekalb county (where I am) has rules about where cars can be parked, how long the grass can get, how close to the house you can stack woodpiles and other junk (they make good homes for rats), trash in the yard, upkeep of house, etc. They're just not really enforced unless you call up the code office, explain the situation and sic them on your neighbor. Once notified, the neighbor has a few days to fix the mess or they start accruing fines.

find out who they are renting through and complain to them.

Good idea.
Most counties also have online tax records too. Plug in the address and you should be able to find the name of the house's owner.

Did you talk with them about your issues, or are you just going to vent on atot?

I spoke with them twice. But only to ask them on trash day, if they can move their cars a little bit back. Sometimes, their cars are like 2-3 feet into our driveway. I have asked them numberous times on this issue to move their car so we don't hit their car backing out of our driveway. I feel like taking my Expidition and just backing straight out one day and smashing their little honda accord.

What do you drive, and what do they drive? If your vehicle is larger than theirs, just push them out of the way once. That should give them a hint :p

j/k - wouldn't want to damage your vehicle.

I have an Expidition. I think if I backed up into their Honda, it would do no damage to my vehicle;)

Our Homeowners Assn. has an agreement where you can't park a car on the street for more than 72 hours or you can be fined. :)

I think that's great. Unfortunately where I live, we don't have any HOA fees.

That sucks. What would the cops do about it? Maybe next time the part in front of your house gets empty lay some spike strips or something all over - that'll teach em to park in front of your house :)

Mom
Dad
1 son
1 daughter
1 son in law
2 grand kids

All in the same house. Then these dummies have like 6 cars they park up and down the street, in front of our house and almost blocking our driveway. Even on trash day, I have asked them to park their cars more towards their house because the trash people left us a note saying their car was like too close to our trash cans and if they see that again, they won't pick up our trash.

I park one car in front of my house and could not even do that yesterday because these stupid people park some big ass suburban in front. They didn't even have anything in front of their driveway. The probably just did it to be stupid. I wouldn't mind if it was occasional or if they were having a party but they do this crap like everyday.

The thing that sucks is that this is all public property and we don't own the little place where I park my other car. It just seems like common sense to park your car in front of your house and not in front of everyone elses house. I wish these stupid renters would move back to where they came from!!!

I also want to include they always play this sh!tty "Circus Music" late at night too.

I personally don't see anything wrong with them parking were they want to park. Its public property and anyone can park were they want to park. Now if they block your drive way with their car then why not call tow way and have the car towed. Also speaking of the trash why not put it in the middle of your drive way at the curb so that they can?t block. When u come home u will just have to move it in order to get in, that way their car can't block the trash or they would be blocking your driveway.

Ahh, the wonderful world of parking. We have 4 cars, my 2 parents cars' are in the driveway, my sister parks infront of the house and I park across the street. Neighbor next door parks on the street to bust balls. She's an old lady with 1 car and a huge driveway but never uses it. The people across the street I park infront of have 1 car and they only park it in the driveway. Everyone in the area can fit 2 cars in their driveways but no one ever puts more than 1 car in there unless it snows. There there are the hillbillies like 2 houses up who have 8 cars and every so often park an RV on the street. I call it the Annex since they live it in while its parked there.

I usually get into fights with everyone when it snows since I'll clear out my spot and when I come back from school, some loser will park there because they won't shovel out their own spot or driveway. One guy refused to move his car and told me to "F-ck off". Next morning, all the damn snow I could find was piled onto his car. He never parked there again nor does he make eye contact with me.

One time the Hillbillies parked infront of my sister (bumper to bumper) and were blocking our garbage cans. I asked them very nicely to move but they didn't. I walked back and put the garbage on their hood and roof. Needless to say, they don't park there or make eye contact with me either.

I guess I'll get mine one day but the cycle will continue...

Thumbtacks wouldnt be deep enough to puncture the tires iirc. Nails might work, dunno though. And yea, cant you have it towed?

If they didn't do anything I would personally request field supervisor to be called. I don't know how heavy the trash can was I am pretty sure if you took it off u could some prints from it. If so I would request cops charge you with vandalism.

You don't know how the NYPD around here works. And whose to say it was a group of kids walking around. Suprisingly, the people on my block stay out of everyones business, so there is no proof.

I don't act spontaneously, I plan...

I hate my neighbors... our neighborhood was perfectly quiet before they moved in. Now there is constant loud rap music and car driving up at all hours of the days (frequently at 1, 2, 3 am) They have three kids that are louder than hell and constantly causing havoc. They are outside yelling and screaming at 11:30 at night. They parents don't care...

I call the police every chance I get.
