i have the worst luck with tires, ever!

Umm, I don't get it. According to your profile you're home is in Manassas, VA which is like 20 miles from Washington, DC. Why Don't you get a tire from a place in Washington DC? A city that size has to have your tire.

I don't blame you on not wanting to drive with the donut though. According to Street Atlas USA Manassas to Bridgewater via Interstate is 115 miles. I doubt the donut will hold up that far. As for full sized spares, don't buy a new tire or rim. Get a used one from a junkyard. Probably won't look great and the tire will have serious tread wear but it'll still hold up better than a donut.

we called everywhere, the only place that had the tire wanted to charge us 213 dollars for it! every other place wasnt open on the weekend.

so we ordered the tire online from tirerack for 140, should be ehre this week.

$231 for tires, that's a $hit load of money. With my car, i can get 4 new tires for around that much.
But my car is a POS though, running on 14 inch steel rims. :)
