Bill Clinton taught me you can still be an important person if you smoke pot and receive sex acts while your supposed to be working. GW Bush taught me its ok to snort cocaine be an alcoholic and drive drunk while your young and stupid. Then you can go on to killing people as long as you do it in the name of freedom and religion. Its even better if you receive large amounts of money for it.

edit: I almost forgot both of them taught me its ok to lie to whoever for whatever reason as long as its to your advantage.

I'm not sure if it's always been like this and it just wasn't reported on or if this kind of thing is more recent...

Here are some more to add:

- Kennedy taught us it was OK to cheat on a beautiful wife.

- LBJ taught us it was OK to be an unfeeling SOB.

- Nixon taught us how to dress up like plumbers.

- Carter taught us how to sin in our minds.

- Ford taught us how to fall.

- Reagan taught us how to spend, spend, spend.

- Bush 1 taught us how to read lips.

Other Presidents have been caught with their hands in the Cookie Jar, Nixon spy tape for example (Watergate for those to young to remember).

If our countries leaders get away with all these things what is supposed to stop me from breaking the law?

Is it supposed to be like our parents do as I say not as I do?

It's too bad neither of them taught you the proper use of the English language.

Why is it everytime I try to make a point on here people never say things about what I say and rag on my english. I'm just a product of the federal education system. Atleast thats what I hear.

I think you have to be able to use an apostrophe correctly to be president.

All my role models in the community pick democrat or republican. I won't even start with religion. So no I don't look up to anyone I'm my own person. Just like they taught me to be a leader but now they all hate me I don't get it.

Presidents are only human (despite suggestion to the contrary about GW). How many humans do you expect absolute perfection of?

Have you never broken a law in your entire life?

Yes and as pat as this answer is, they should be held to a higher ethical level because of the position they
hold. I do not disagree with the fact that they are human but they should have the strength of character
to avoid temptation as much as possible. The problem stems from the fact that most people wanting to
take posts in the higher levels of government have already been seduced by the lure or power and money
so what are a few more ethical breakdowns. I do not believe that someone with higher ethical standards
would easily make into the higher levels of government, who would support that person. The big money
groups and special interest groups would not be able to "persuade" (bribe) them. So no big money support
for the campaign.

We will not have higher ethical standards until we the people demand and do not relent until that becomes
the de facto standard and follow up on these people we have elected and make them accountable for
ethical transgressions.

Unfortunately, if we truly held elected officials to higher ethical standards we'd end up with a bunch of Ned Flanders types in government. Then they'd be inflicting all their squeaky-cleanliness on everyone else. Bush is bad enough in that department. Do we really need Bush times 10 in the White House?

iow, be carefull what you wish for. You just might get it and be sorry.
