I have the cash in hand, what do I buy?

Well I have been debating for months now what laptop to buy and my parents have been gratious (sp?) enough to cover half of the laptop prize. So this is it, I am tired of waiting, I am leaning towards and IBM, the price range around $2000. Anyone care to make my life easier and help me out with some suggestions?

IBM T40....not that i own it but everyone's saying that's the one to go for.

I'm in somewhat similar situation to u....cept i dun have as much cash as u 🙁
And my eye is currently on Toshiba Tecra S1's and Acer...umm...one of the centrino models....
T40 is almost out of my sight cuz it's just too expensive.
 
Get an R32 and upgrade it. That's what I did. $1500 for a WiFi, 1.6ghz, 512mb 40gb 5400RPM machine with a 3-year warranty. 😀

A Powerbook 12 w/ a Superdrive and 640MB of DDR. 😉

If you must have a PC, then I'd say go with the T40. It seems to be the best in that range.
