I know exactly how I got it too, I clicked a link in a spam message inadvertantly and it installed something with the autoinstall duhicky in IE, being an idiot I clicked yes, and now im getting popups for p0rn and stuff visiting nothing but anandtech, I've run adaware, and it can't find it. any help would be apprecated on how I can find this stupid SOB program, and perhaps harm or kill the individuals responsible for coding it?

Tools, Internet Options, Content, Certificates. Check to see if your "bad" certificate is in there and delete it.

disconnect ethernet to computer to make sure that cookie/script cannot go out onto the internet and refresh itself, if that's the case (and to stop seeing the adverts)
clear cache
clear cookies
reboot
look through your add/remove programs list
look through your start menu for strange programs (and their uninstallers)
look through your C:\ drive for unfamiliar software

clear all of it out, then reboot again
reconnect ethernet to back of your computer, release / renew IP, see if they continue

If they do, please contact your hardware vendor or Microsoft for further support

Thank you for calling AT&T Broadband, sir.
