I have some large-ish video files

So, I have about 10 short videos that were shot with various digital cameras. They are about 20-70 mb (the longest are only 5 min or so). Is there any way to make them smaller?

(They are MPEG-1, by the way.)

Convert to Divx or Xvid would greaterly lower the filesize.

I was looking at doing this, what program would you recommend?

i downloaded AutoGK on a recommendation from a friend, but it says it doesn't work with MPEG-1. Any other ideas?
