I wouldn't say epic. Isn't this Microsoft's advertising to get a server in everyone's home?

Kinda sounds sheepish rather than geekish.

Well I was using Mozy to do backups and I was upgrading my pc and thought it would be better to just make my old pc a server.

Nah. If you're a real geek, you'd also have that stuff replicated over a secure vpn to disaster recovery servers located in a datacenter hundreds of miles away. You'd also have a written disaster recovery process and usage policy handbook tucked away and can play guitar parts to the hold music on CA xosoft's support line.

I now officially have a home server

I took my old desktop(Pentium 4 1 gig ddr) and installed Windows Home Server on it. It automatically backs up all my pcs everyday among other things like remote access to all my files via the web and mobile devices. I got a dual core AMD and mobo from Fry's that I put in a new case. So now in my house I have 2 desktops and 2 laptops, and 1 server. What are some other useful features/things I can do with it besides backing up files and sharing files?

legally licensed?

Just give her her own PC. NO ONE touches my pc, ever.

Doesn't work unless you she has better or equal hardware. Or at least convince her that the hardware on her machine is equal or better ....
We've been living together for the better part of 9 months, I don't even give a crap who uses my machines any more, especially since my "good" pc is now 2 years old and not really all that great.
