Thrift stores. Luggage is usually dirt cheap.

Target sells garment bags. I bought one about two weeks ago for $50 - its a single-fold garment bag. They also sell a double-fold version for $70 (easier to carry around, I guess).

I can only offer this. Don't buy cheap luggage. If you travel a lot, the cheap stuff will fall apart quickly.

Look to Hartmann/samsonite. Lifetime warranty.

if your travel destination is someplace like S Korea, other SE Asia countries, then consider taking almost no luggage, & not much more than the clothes you're wearing. Then buy what you need, and luggage, there.

May strike you as an unconventional idea, but I know a guy who went to S. Korea wearing a T shirt & shorts, no luggage at all, & outfitted himself completely in country, at a tremendous bargain compared to home prices.

Hope it helps. I travel a lot and have gone through countless pieces of luggage.

Nothing compares to the wearability of "good" luggage.

I used to work for the company that owned Hartmann. They honor their lifetime warranty. I've seen bags from the 40s, and they will repair or replace.
