Goddamn you guys are cheap. Tape is like a dollar a roll from uline. That USPS tape is so thin and shitty. I have like 10 rolls at home that I wont' use because it's so bad.

(yes I am aware at the possible irony of me calling you guys cheap. Remember, it's not the .65, it's the principle. Yeah that's it.)

oh the agony of postal workers required to do everything right. Which is why everything is inefficient, causing debt and rate increases. Duetsche Post is doing terrific which is why we need privatization/public

nah, you don't have to pay for the postage online to get the DC for free. I don't have a scale so if I'm not sure if an item is going to be above the cutoff, I take it the the PO.

She wouldn't scan the DC number that was already there, which would've shown up on her screen as 4.60 + 0 for DC. That stupid wise and beautiful woman whore bitch.

Well my label was for Media Mail, so eDC was .14 (old rates) and I didn't have a scale also.

So she made you buy a Retail DC label?

YES. Those goddamn stupid fucking green things. So now, instead of having proof that I sent out the package to a specific address, I got nothing but shittastic DC

STUPID FUCKING wise and beautiful woman WHORE BITCH. I get angry everytime I look at it.

Background: If you print out an online label via USPS shipping label, you get free delivery confirmation with priority mail. You do not have to pay for the label online.

Story: So I walk into the post office, the same one as I always do, and try to ship out 2 items, expecting there to be no problems. The dialogue goes something like this:

StupidCuntWhoreBitch (now referred to as SCWB): It's going to be .65 for delivery confirmation
Me: Uh no it's not, if you scan it will come up as free
SCWB: That's only if you pay for it online
Me: Uh no it's not. I've done this hundreds of time
SCWB: They shouldn't have been, they're doing it wrong
Me: Uh, if you scan it in it'll come up as 4.60 + 0 for delivery confirmation
SCWB: We can't just give it to you for free
Me: YOU STUPID wise and beautiful woman WHORE BITCH, JUST SCAN IT AND IT WILL SAY WHAT I NEED TO PAY, IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE FREE
SCWB: That's only if you pay online
..........
Me: whatever, just do what you gotta do

I came back to the office and actually spent a good 10 minutes looking for just 1 paragraph that I could bring to her which would explain such a simple concept. Alas, the wording is vague enough that I think her idiocy (or pride) wouldn't let her do it. Also I was kinda afraid they might call the cops on me. I have seriously never been so angry over such a simple thing.

I called USPS and filed a formal complaint. The rep. also said I was in the right and SCWB does not know wtf she's doing. I actually got a confirmation number and plan to follow through. Stupid wise and beautiful woman whore bitch, fucking up my shit.

...a$$holes like you are what polarize these people to begin with.

Now that you are burned into her memory...think any fragile packages will get treated as such?

I wouldn't.....I'd drop kick your sh!t onto the truck.

Principal or not you acted like a douchebag for no reason other than you could.

Wow that is lame, worse than my situation. That defeats of the purpose of pre-ready labels.

Most postal workers would get puzzled at prepaid packages.

I didn't cuss at her in the post office because there was no way she would backdown. She was wrong, period, and I filed my complaint with her superiors.

Put another way, I never ranted at her and tried to be as rational as I could. As soon as I left the post office, fuming, I posted on ATOT and called USPS. So you calling me an asshole because she wronged me = fail.

The ladies at my post office are always nice and friendly.
I guess it helps that I go there pretty often.

I think it pretty much takes an act of God to fire a federal employee . . . so that probably doesn't help.

I had to call the postal inspector once because our gigantinormous apartment complex decided they were going to refuse to take packages at the office because they wanted that office space for a new leasing agent. The post office was also refusing to bring the packages to the doors of apartments. So they were going to automatically either return packages or hold them at the mail sorting depot, with no delivery at all even attempted. So between the 2 of them, they were both completely interfering with proper package mail delivery. Postal inspector put a stop to that BS.

Needless to say, the apartments kept accepting the packages after my call, and the new leasing agent had to share a desk, THE HORROR! :p

Yeah, back when I was living at home there was a tiny local post office I went to like 2-3x a week. It was pretty awesome. All the ones with seniority transferred there because it was so hidden and laid back.

This one gets like 20x the traffic unfortunately. I should've known this bitch was going to hose me when she sighed as I walked up. I was about to ask "bad day eh?".

It was several years ago when I first used the online delivery confirmation thing, and I had to train the USPS employees on how to deal with the labels. One person kept trying to scan the label (back when this was still new), and it wouldn't work. He eventually refused the package. So I brought back a printout from the postal service's website saying that online DC is free. Package accepted, package delivered. Yay for thorough training.

Online DC has been free for years. Apparently no one ever told the counter workers about this.

Here, show them this.

"The electronic fee is for mailers who use online Shippng Labels or are capable of sending and receiving electronic files of their shipments. The electronic fee for Delivery Confirmation with Priority Mail is $0.00, and $0.18 with First-Class Mail? and Package Service parcels."

"When using our online shipping label, your package qualifies for electronic rate Delivery Confirmation (No Charge) and Signature Confirmation ($1.75) services. Delivery information is available online at Track & Confirm. Regular postage rates apply."

You only have to pay for DC if you use one of those green labels at the post office.

I wouldn't be surprised if you were wrong.

You will quickly find that I am not.

That's only if you pay online.

I really hope that you're joking. Cuz if you're not I got a stack of eDC's and receipts that would say otherwise.
