Amused, thanks for the "how to". BTW - anyone know how long you can store excess frozen frap in your fridge for? I'd like to make a batch of it and then nurse it for a few mornings, and then reload when needed. I don't drink this stuff by the gallons, but can't bring myself to do that much work for only a glass or two. I'd like to make up like a gallon of it on a Sunday night, put it in a pitcher in the fridge, and then hit it for a couple mornings. Does it go "bad" if you do this?

No, its keeps for a few days. Of course it hasn't ever lasted more than 3 days at my house between my wife and I grabbing a glass every morning.

It will last as long as the milk lasts. Just remember to shake it before pouring it each time.

BTW, the recipe I posted is just the basic frap. Coffee shops offer a myriad of variations on these frozen drinks. Experiment by adding some of your favorite chocolate-based junk food into the blender. Try a chunk of brownie, or an Oreo cookie, or some coconut shavings, or chocolate chips, or cocoa powder. Try adding a dash of whatever kind of flavored syrups you have. (My fav is vanilla) The basic drink is delicious, but additions are yummy too.

If you're on a health kick, use 1% milk and substitue Splenda for sugar.

While they taste the same, the drink will not be as rich with 1% and the "feel" will be a bit different with Splenda.

They used to drink this at work during those 20 hour shifts (I never did it)

12 oz coffee
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup caramel
1/4 cup coffee grounds
1/4 cup chocolate syrup

Enjoy.

We use 1% milk and swiss miss hot chocolate mix w/ splenda. Tastes good enough to me. And lower calories than using other alternatives.

Would this get blended or just thrown together?
