1997 is when the original forums went up. In 1999 they switched to new system, and everyone started fresh at 0 post count.

Wow.
Kind of crazy to think of.
Even for myself, if I think back to where I was when I became a member here was a total different place in my life than I am at now.
I was single, living in another state, drinking and smoking.
Since then I've worked at 4-5 different companies, am married with a kid on the way, hardly drink haven't smoked in (going on) 6 years, live in another state, love my job and own a home.

Back in the good old days of price matching the 155% at Staples, OM, OD, then the online deals too...such fond memories....how many of those super deal retailers made it even....not many.

Those were the time when you can really score some "Hot Deals."
The only draw back was that computer stuff then not only cost you an arm but your two legs.
Lucky too if your dial up connection to the intarweb was working good.
Porn then was too slow to download...dsl was non existent. :laugh:
