I was once on hold with Wal-Mart long enough to drive there, find what I needed, wander around the electronics, pay, and stop at the service desk to tell the lady she can hang up the line that is on hold.

At least you can get put on hold. When I phone Can-Am about my 8 month missing $250 rebate I can not even get a line. I phone, it tells me the lines are too busy and call back later. It has been like that for the last three weeks every time I call.

Love the quad, hate the phone support.

This is not even a rebate company, this is their customer service/information/everything hotline.

 
I don't see what you should need to call seagate about... Bad drive RMA on the web site send it back get new one. Is my drive under warranty, check the web site. Do I sound sexy, call and wait an hour.
 
I was on hold with BFG so long my phone died. Had to plug it in, called again, and was immediately connected to a service rep. That was fun...

Sounds like our local computer retailer (NCIX). If you call their 800 number regarding your order, they'll transfer you to the local store's number. They never answer the phone there and it gets sent to a voice mailbox that isn't set up and then drops the call.

I even told the rep that transfers me that the number is never answered and I can't even leave a voice mail, but they don't seem to care... :S

go to the store. call the 800 number from your cell. when they transfer it yell at the person at the customer service desk to answer the damn phone.😉

I remember when I had my msi laptop. Somehow flying on a plane from florida to colorado messed it up. I literally called 1:30 hours before they closed to do the rma. I was on hold until they closed ie: 1 hour 30 min. I was so pissed. So I called the next day to complain and they didn't give a crap. Fuck msi now. Never buying a single thing from there ever again. Not even a transistor.
