is it safe to plug in a 24 pin psu into a 20 pin mobo without the 24 to 20 adapter?

Would it fit in the first place? dont do it unless your psu has the 20 and the 4 that can be attach and deattach

Just make sure you get one with detachable 4 pins, or an adapter. Almost all of them come with one or the other.
