I ended up with an extra beta key for Metal Gear Online that starts on Monday, and I was wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to give it away. Should I just give it to the first taker, or can we do something cool with it?

I'm sure a couple of you will roll their eyes at this, but it just seems boring to simply give it away to the first PM.
 
a tournament. no rules. 16 enter, 1 man leaves.







...and then the other 15 leave after that guy gets his beta key.
 
Do a simple contest. For example, take a picture of a jar full of coins and let us take one guess as to how much money it contains. Closest wins. Something quick and easy like that.

How about giving it to a Marine who is about to deploy May 21st to Iraq, and preordered the game, just to play the beta. Even though he wont be here to buy it, because he will be in Iraq. Then the copy he preordered, came with the dreaded 9 digit code, so he got screwed.

I just wanna play before I go, because I dont get back till next April, and have to wait till then. 🙁

Have you emailed Konami Support? That sucks that they sent out a bunch of incomplete codes.

R Nilla, yes, I got an automated response, but nothing other than that yet. Im hoping soon, as the beta starts soon, and I want to have it all downloaded and ready before it comes out.

i hear it was taking like 6-8 hours to get emails back from them.

also the beta was delayed so it's not starting today like it was supposed to, so you will be okay. they are also extending it 5 days longer cause of the delay.

See if you can find some teen shelter that has a computer or something, donate it to an underprivelaged teen center or something. Let em play a game rather than hang out in the streets.
