I have adelphia cable TV...can I get their cable internet too?

Adelphia have installed my house with cable TV with all the bells and whistles....but they say they can't give cable internet.

Anyone confirm this, is it totally different? etc I've called them and they said the below V

They say it'll be another year before they can do it in my area (funnily enough they said the same thing exactly a year ago!).

56k Modem is killing me

Anyone here on adelphia? or know how the network works?

go here and find out. But if they told you that it's not available, it's not available. I had to wait quite a while until it was available in my area. I was with Jones Intercable before they got bought out before Century Communications, which was then bought out by Adelphia. Supposedly back when we had Century Communications, @home was supposed to have cable modem here, but they got bought out by Adelphia before they did, so now we have PowerLink broadband service. I take it you've tried to get DSL?
