Edison company in Amarillo changes name

By MAX ALBRIGHT
Amarillo Globe-News

The Amarillo high-tech company that was once called Thomas A. Edison Inc., then called Goedison.com, is Edison no more.

The newly named company - now called InternetCommerce.com Resource Technologies Inc. - is in business and will debut its new name Tuesday at a high-tech trade show in Chicago, said Lloyd Kruckeberg, founder and chief executive officer of Edison, now InternetCommerce.com.
Some related information:
InternetCommerce.com? Resource Technologies, Inc. was founded in November of 1998 by Lloyd Kruckeberg.

Lloyd Kruckeberg, President/CEO, ShopGuideUSA.net Internet Services

Mr. Kruckeberg enjoyed considerable success as owner of The Shirt Factory during which time he became interested in the computer industry. He founded LEK Technologies, Inc. in 1984 after graduating from college with a degree in accounting.
LEK Technologies also appears to be defunct.

Usually these guys who start several companies in a relatively short period of time, all sharing the same address, which then start "acquiring" each other, end up taking an extended vacation at an undisclosed state or federal facility.

Maybe you should contact this Max Albright fellow, he seems to know quite a bit about the now defunct LEK and Edison. :p

This was the only thread I found regarding a Thomas A Edison Laptop. I was looking for Video drivers and FINALLY got the machine to work after tearing it apart and finding the graphics chip. Since I went bald looking for this, wanted to share so others did not have to go through the same aggravation.

System specs:
Thomas A Edison
Model 110
AMD 350Mhz
Win98se
runs a Lynx video card by Silicon Motion

Looks like they have all Windows flavors available too!
