first mailbox was in a brick box.

the second image shows the busted brick.

the mailbox you see is likely a temp replacement.

Too lazy to find it. Someone will though, it was a huge hit about 7-8 years ago.

You can't beat my parents' neighbor- a real classic redneck. So far they have:

- Never took down their Xmas lights. It stayed year around for the next Xmas.

- His friends stole my dad's small cherry blossom trees. Yup, they came to our lawn at night and literally uprooted the fucking baby trees and took it. The truck was his friend's that my dad recognized.

- My dad has industrial grade deep fryer from their old restaurant. He covered them up and left it at the back of the yard, out of sight. The same retards came with the truck, tried to drag it, failed because it's too heavy, then bounced.

No my parents don't live in the ghetto. It's a nice suburb area. It's just this one particular ghetto ass Latino family across the street.
 
Speaking of mailboxes. My friend back in high school used to have problems with people playing mailbox baseball with their box. It sat right on the side of the road on a corner of a bend making it easy to nail with a bat from from a car.

To fix this problem his dad mounted the box on a steel I-beam and sunk it into 4 feet of concrete.

Later they found a bent aluminum bat at the end of their driveway. Box was fine. 😛
 
This neighborhood looks so familiar to me. I should drive over there and see if I see a destroyed mailbox and then I'll know for sure!
 
There was an upscale neighborhood by my old highschool, and a majority of the houses had brick mailboxes. Well, there was a bend in the road, and conveniently there was a brick mailbox straight on. I swear, in the course of a school year, that thing got ran into at least once a month.

Surprisingly, the owners kept rebuilding it.

They probably had to. I know we have to maintain a brick mailbox that matches the brick on the house.

Couldn't say. Not every house had one, but something like 75% did.

All I know, is if I was the owner, I'd have replaced it with the cheapest mailbox I could find a long time ago.
