I have a Shuttle SS40G and was wondering if I can upgrade the mobo...

...if so, is there anything I should be cognizant of? Is it just a matter of buying a flex atx mobo and swapping it? Or do I need to upgrade the i.c.e pipes as well?

Thanks for your expert advice, all!

You should double check (possibly at SFFtech.com) but I think you could replace it with any of the Shuttle SFF boards, the major considerations would be power supply and case ventillation.

best of luck

Genereally, Shuttle don't make their XPC mobo's available for re-sale, only for repair. Whenever they have been available, they have been for more or less the price of a complete XPC..

There aren't any other boards available that will fit...

Sure you can, you just have to use a Shuttle mobo. Expensive to buy from Shuttle, though, and exceedingly difficult to find other than there. I might have something for you... guess we'll talk via PM at sfftech.com... ;)
