Could have been 'firmer' IMO, but I guess you didn't want to break it to him the 'hard' way. Actually, puns aside, it sort of reads like you are wishy washy on the possibility...which is at odds with how you post about it here.

Asked her how she would want to be let down and she dictated.

Oh yeah they are. Every gay person I've met always has this "he's not gay because he's never met me" attitude. They just latch onto what they want and think that they are so charming that they will convert you to gaydom. They don't understand that even the most tolerant and accepting straight people are still revulsed by the concept of taking a dik.

That's what I thought. Sort of sounded like he could be convinced. 😉 I would have included a line like, "I am very much heterosexual, and the thought of being in a physical relationship with another male is very unappealing to me. Sorry I can't help you out."
 
I do feel the OP should post a few pics of himself, so we can all judge for ourselves just how 'hot' he is. (with goatee and without, pls). 🙂

Morally repugnant (a morally bad thing) or viscerally repugnant (a disgusting thing)? I can understand why you might be disgusted at the thought of having sex with another man (I am a bit disgusted at the thought of having sex with a woman).

This reminds me of psychomike's story from LA's KROQ morning program, where psychomike is the trainer, and he has a wife who's hot, but one of his students is onto him, and lets him drive around his porche and such.

The problem with that is how someone would want to be let down and how you have to do it for it to work are completely different things. You cannot allow even the slightest possibility of hope.
 
You should get a "I like Chicks Not Dicks" shirt and wear it underneath the T-Shirt you got from the guy. Then when he comes up to you, take it off and give it back to him while having the other shirt underneath.

Priceless.
