Hello, I have dialup and when people send me links over AIM to say video files, I hate clicking on the link and having Windows Media Player open. When I'm in IE I usually right click the link and press save target as. However with AIM there is no button for this. So my question is, is there anyway to save a target as without having to create a link in IE? Thanks

well, you have to associate the program you want to open the files with the file extension. Like, associate Real player for all .avi files...I'm not sure exactly how to do that, but if you search "file association" in the application help menu and you're bound to find it...

Do this:
windows explorer>tools>folder options>file types>(select the type of file you wish to change the behavior of)>advanced>check[confirm open after download]>ok.

Windows will then ask you if you would like to save or open that type of file.
