I have a question about USB ports...

I have a external usb floppy that works fine hooked up to the front of the case and it works fine. I would later hook up this same usb floppy drive to the rear of the computer and it works great.

I would later hook up to different usb flash memory drives on the back and it works. But when I hook up two different usb flash drives to the front of the computer, I get an error message.

Why? And thanks to anyone who can help me solve this problem...

They're probably sucking up too much power. Does the removable drive just randomly appear and disappear in My Computer? A lot of time the USB ports on the front of cases don't seem to get as much power as the ones on the back. But yeah, whats the error message?
