I have a question about UNEMPLOYMENT

I just got recently laid off because the place where i worked closed down due to lease issues. I worked there a little less than a year. I am thinking about going on unemployment because work was kind of interferring with my school work. Is there an Official website about filing unemployment and to read up on it. I am in New Jersey. Thanks

Try the New Jersey government websites. North Carolina had detailed information when my wife was laid off. It may be different in New Jersey, but my wife had to send out two resumes a week and go to any interviews that were scheduled in order to collect unemployment. Thankfully we have been able to survive on a single income.

Unemployment and school do not OFFICIALLY mix.

Most states feel that if you are attending school, you can not be looking for employment full time. That is one of their rules.
