Hey all, this is my first post on this new account of mine, I had one years ago but I've long forgotten its login details.

I am considering the jump to a 1TB drive soon, I currently have 1x 80gb IDE a the primary, 1x 250gb IDE, and 1x 250GB SATA. But my question is, is it possible to run the 250GB and the 1TB togather in RAID? with a 250GB partition on the 1TB drive to match the size, and run those two 250gb partitions in RAID as the primary.

RAID is one of the few thing I just hadn't touched yet, but I plan on it soon.

If it is possible, then I want to make that setup.

Another complication is my motherboard's onboard sata is disfunctional and not working, so I have a PNY PCI SATA/RAID card currently in the system. I was also too lazy to install the SATA drivers beforehand at the windows installation so thats why the old 80gb IDE is the current main.

Heres my specs

Athlon 64 x2 5400 AM2
ASUA M3A78 (orignal)
2x 2gb Corsair Dominators 1066, total 4gb
Power Color ATI Radeon 3870 PCI-E
Windoze Xp X64
680W Sunbeam PSU
SB Audigy Platinum (going on 8 years)
1x 80gb IDE main
2x 250gb, one IDE and one SATA

My other future upgrade plan is to leap to the PII 940 at some point.

Any answers would be greatly appricated

Thanks in Advance :)
