Yes, its true. I have a problem. I need help. I buy too many concert tickets. I usually love this time of the year because all the summer/fall tours are announced. But now I have the money to afford almost anything I want and can't stop myself. In the last 3 weeks I've spent quite a bit on concert tickets.

Ozzfest: $93 (for my ticket. Friends still owe me for two other ones)
Rush: $153
Tool: $100
Rolling Stones: ????

I have a problem. :confused::(:eek:

Spending money that you have to spend on something you enjoy is a problem?

Buying conert tickets prolly won't help my Intel stocks too much though. :(

Maybe I should be buying tech stuffs instead, or putting the money where it should go, in my car. Who knows.

And I thought I used to spend alot on tickets. If you're worried about money just get general admission tickets. You're going to be standing at the concert anyway :)

The problem I have gen ad. tickets is that you get there but early, stake out your spot and can't leave until the thing is over if you intended to keep the spot. That's ok at smaller events but at Ozzfest the lawn is enourmous. No can do. Also, not all shows have gen ad.

Yeah, ticket prices have come up a lot. People tell me they paid $15 to see Zepplin or something. I shelled out $130 for a prime U2 seat last year, and that was the face value of the ticket. This is starting to get out of hand.

Spending $100+ on a concert is insane. I've never spent over $12 for a concert, except for warped tour, which was like $22 or something and had like 20 bands.

Rolling Stones tickets, when they came to Pittsburgh in 1972, I think were $9, $6, and $4. I went first-class and splurged on the $9 ticket.

Ticket prices today are usually insane, even allowing for inflation.

Hey, if you can afford it, and you enjoy going, that's great. If you can afford it.

Try to intern at a radio station that advertises the concerts you like.

I worked at Radio Free Hawaii for a few years and got to see a good concert at least every other week . . . I guess I saved thousands of dollars on concert tickets . . . and CDs . . .
