Hello, my name is Patrick, and I am addicted to GPUs. This GPU cycle I have had: 3 different 680s, a Lightning, reference Evga, and reference MSI. Two watercooled 7970's a Visiontek and a XFX. Two Galaxy 660's. A MSI 7850 TF, a MSI 7870 , and a MSI 7770.
Dont be ashamed stand up and speak your addiction fellow forum members. Lol

=)

Don't worry man...

I have you beat my a long shot. just this Gen I've had 5 7970's a 680, 2x 7870 hawk's and a Titan.

But of course you already knew that since you have/had/will have a couple of them from me.

To put it short I can't even list the video cards I have in my sig cause they don't allow for enough characters. =)

BTW, I did get the Hawk out to you yesterday.

Awesome, another member. That list is just current gen cards lol. I have had at least 15 last gen cards this year as well. The postal service loves me , as does newegg.

I had my time. In a span of under two years I went thru a 7600GT, 8600GTS, 2x8800GT and an HD 4870 along with 5 CPUs and 3 motherboards. Finally ended up happy with the PhenomII X4 940 and 4870 combo, eventually the bug leaves.

I have owned over 50+ Gpu's in total - Probably have had 20 at one time.

My favorites - 8800 GTX, 9800GX2, 7950GX2, 4870x2, GTX 280, GTX 295 and 9500 Pro..

This gen I have only owned a 7850 2GB and 7950.

this gen i started with 2x 7970 cards, then a gtx 690, then 2x titans. i sold 1 7970, put the other 7970 in my wife's pc, gave my 690 to a good friend. it would take awhile to list every GPU i've ever had. i have the illness of being an early adopter :(

I would have to guesstimate that over my pc gaming lifetime I have purchased about 150-200 cards.

I envy your staying power. I have recently fired up my GTX 285 and realized that at res of about 1680x1050 a card like that is still powerful enough for near max details in most games.

Even my 3870 X2 played crysis 2 fairly well on high settings

If anyone is looking to complete the 9th step let me know, I'm looking for a decent video card but I'm a bit poor atm.

What did you hope to gain?

I bought a 7970 non GE and im running 1125/1700 14/7 and all for £300 with 3 free games.

Next up is a 20nm GPU.

Stayed with my HD5770 for 4 years, as well as my CPU/mobo. Just recently upgraded to what's listed below like 2 months ago...

I'd be an early adopter and GPU enthusiast if I had the money though :p

it's fun and you hardly loose much money at all if you dump at the right time.

This. All things considered I was pleased to get $400 a piece for the 680s I paid $500 for on launch day. A lot better than the bath I usually take on reselling flagship cards. My 480s got me $200, $180 and $160 respectively. $500 at retail cost.

It actually died on me a couple weeks ago and I was getting ready to purchase a 7950, but then I remembered I had a lifetime warranty and got it RMAed. Will probably hold out for 20nm now.

Yes, I probably am addicted to GPU performance, considering 95% of games I play are on PS3 or Xbox360, yet I'm upgrading my GPU every 12 months.

I see it as Lava does, if you have the money to do,it, and you enjoy it, why not? I rarely leave my house when I'm not working, so I spend my money on things I can enjoy without leaving.
