*I have a problem with accessing the DOMAIN.*

Something just happened out of the blue....

I have 2 computers. One is a workstation (NT 4.0) and the other is a server (NT Server 4.0).

The server's name is: Master
The workstation's name is: Slave1

I cannot logon to the Domain (Master) from the workstation. When I logon from the workstation using Slave1....I can see Master's shared folders. But, from the Master's computer...I cannot access the workstation's shared folders (Slave1).

This is what the server kept saying when I tried to access Slave1:

\\Slave1 is not accessible.
The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed.

I checked the protocols on each computers, all is there like NetBEUI and TCP/IP.

It was only yesterday I was able to access the Master's shared folders from the workstation.

Any ideas why it didn't work?

You need to reset the workstations DOMAIN account. To do this, delete the workstation account from SERVER MANAGER, then re-create the account. Then, on the workstation, make it a member of a workgroup, re-boot the system, then re-join it to the domain.

I ahve seen this happen numerous times before. What happened is that the workstation account password was not sync'ed with the domain, and thus, you cannot log into the domain.

Let me know if you have any more issues.

Thank you, Shadow07. 🙂

It is almost solves....when I set it (Slave1) to Workgroup...I can only access the workstation....not to the Domain.

Both can see eachother now. But, when I created a test id/pass from the server and tried to access the workstation using the test id/pass..it doesn't work.

I have always set the workstation in the past to be a member of the domain (Master) which have always work.

**UPDATED**...

I didn't read your suggestion carefully. 🙂

I just rejoined the workstation back to the Domain and created the admin's id/pass.

It works now.

Thanks again.
