I have a piece of graphite stuck in my hand

I just noticed this again. I'm 23 now, when I was like 6 this stupid chick stabbed me in the hand with a pencil (in school) and a piece of graphite broke off and it healed over it. It's small but I can see it in there, oddly enough, still. Is this at all dangerous? I suppose I could cut my hand open and dig it out but I'd rather not.

It's at the outer base of my pointer finger, side facing the thumb

a momento of your first crush.
I don't think you got to worry about it, but next time you go to the doc say hey bye the way....that way you get a 2fer.

I hope it doesnt become a habit

Imagine if each girl you liked stabbed you..

😀😀

I had a mesquite thorn stuck in my little toe for 3 years. Couldn't see it, but sometimes my foot would bump up against something just right and would press the sharp end right into the bone. THat sucked. Worked its way out.

The graphite is prolly not a problem..

I've got a piece in my right ring finger from when I was probably 10 or so. Doctor says it's no problem, and it doesn't bother me, you should be fine.

I've had a piece of graphite in my left palm since the 4th grade. I was trying to carve something into the desk, the pencil slipped and got me in the palm. Tore off a good inch of skin and I noticed the graphite after I took the bandage off.

So sad. Can I have your computer after you're gone?

No kidding. I'm not sure whether to feel left out or lucky I've never been stabbed with a pencil.

I have pencil lead in my right palm and a piece in the back of my neck( fight w/ sister)

Number of incidences for lead does seem high around this place
