Phone interviews are the best thing ever. How many other interviews can you do completely WITHOUT PANTS?

They're usually for screening applicants anyway - although I did get an offer during my first ever phone interview.

what if you accidently screw up and make a word sound like something its not? and they think you said something, and then its really awkward to try and explain it? what if the inevitable happens? what if they can tell your nervous, or you get a like some dust in your throat and go into a coughing spell.

If you're ever intimidated by someone just remember this: EVERYONE POOPS. That hit me one day as the most equalizing common denominator among us all. Just imagine this guy squeezing out a dehydrated lump of poo reading "Road and Track" grunting like a birthing cow. Not very intimidating :D

or what if your mom picks up the other phone unit in the house and tells you to get off the phone and clean your room
and you're 30
and you're single
and your room is in the basement
and you're not really having an interview, you're jsut pretending to

Well, this is the second interview I've had with this office, and in their email to me to schedule the interview, they said I was a great candidate. ;)

3 Advantages to a phone interview:

1. No pants
2. You can use notes...make notes of things you think they'll ask you about so if you get nervous you can look down and make sure you didn't forget anything when talking about that great project you did 5 years ago or questions you want to ask them
3. No pants.

Get a glass of water and put it on your desk, a note pad and pen, your resume and coverletter, and anything else you might need. Take a poop/piss 15 min before the interview. Have your good phone charge/plugged in at your desk.

Remember, even if you fart and it smells bad the other guy won't know...

Oh yeah, and wear pants, otherwise you'll start to feel cold and get mad at yourself for having neglected your pants.

Don't wear pants.

lol, it's just a phone interview. They can't see you, how much easier could it get. typically I'd try to get a short workout beforehand to work off any excess energy so that on the phone I'm nice and calm. and no, it doesn't produce too much adrenaline from the workout...it just works for me, I don't know :p
