Okay I have a compaq 5150, I don't know what RAM is in it now, I guess whatever compaq normally uses, it has 128MB right now, but it is using all of it and still running slow. My question is can i put a stick of 128MB Kingston value RAM at 133mhz in with the RAM that is in there, and will it work?

Now one thing about Compaq is mem upgrades can be a pain. Well I just went to www.compaq.com and I did a search for 5150 and I think I found the stat info on your computer. Acording to the last page of this text. It states... "Add EDO 70ns memory moduals in matched pairs into banks 1, 2, or 3 up to 192Megabytes total system Memory." If you wanted to add 133 memory it wouldn't work.

If Woolfie is right there that will be a pain, simms and slow and expensive, look into upgrading or buying second hand simms if you are strapped for cash
