Without taxes from people just like YOU, you wouldn't have a job at your PUBLIC SCHOOL fixing computers. Public schools are funded by TAXES.
The taxes taken out of your paycheck help build roads that you travel on to get to your job. They also pay the salary of police officers and firefighters who help keep you safe. Taxes also pay for health inspectors that help keep your food safe from bacteria and unsafe handling practices.
Also, Social Security tax is nowhere near 40%. I'd say the total amount taken out of my paychecks each pay period is about 15-20%
You're a complete moron if you think taxes are some bottomless pit that never gets back to you.
