I need it bad.
Tips would be appreciated on how to carry myself.
I'm very qualified for the job, probably overly-so. It's about half of my normal salary, but it'll have to do for awhile.
I'm pretty nervous...
Update
I went to my interview. I was super nervous for a little bit, then the interviewer dropped a test in front of me. Fortunately it wasn't a psych test, it was applied knowledge.
I shivered for awhile and then just said "the hell with it".
There were 40 questions, I got about 35 right. A few I just plain didn't know because they were about "specific use" controls that I'd never come in contact with.
The other couple I was sort of right, and when he quizzed me I came up with the answer he wanted.
I feel very good about how it went, but I didn't get any indication that I landed the job.
He said I was the last interviewee, so I should hear an answer very shortly. On the way out the door I saw a guy I know very well through work, and I asked him to put in a word for me.
I've done a number of jobs for this company as an outside contractor, so that bodes well for me, too.

I'm going to put on my interview shoes.
Man, I can't believe I'm this nervous. I never gave it a second thought until 10 minutes ago, now I'm all worked up.

Deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth. You know you can do this job. There's nothing to be nervous about.

Sit up straight, think before answering questions, have a question or two to ask them, smile, firm handshake, and at the end point out that you are exceptionally qualified for the position, you are excited about the opportunity, you would enjoy working with them and you're looking forward to getting started as soon as possible.

Good luck, you'll do fine!

Appear confident, especially in your answers. And remember if you don't know it, you can always learn it... don't be so negative in your answers.

GOOD LUCK.

I never perform to the max of my abilities on interviews. Not because I get nervous or anything but rather because I don't like thinking about problems when there's another person sitting in front of you, waiting for an answer.

And yeah, best of luck!

That never bothers me. I can figure out things a lot of times by just discussing the problem with someone who has no idea what I'm talking about.
My problem is that I fail to remember things that I can look up. Things like "what amperage can #10 wire handle?" and "what's the operating head pressure of a r-502 system on a day like today?"
I never remember numbers because I know I can look them up. I carry little cards to work that have pressure tables, temp tables, conversions and everything I need. I probably rely on that stuff too heavily. Most guys just learn those numbers in the course of doing their jobs, but for me, they never stick.
