This was what, some cross-post from an L&R blog? I don't follow anything over there so this thread looked like, "I have a happy thought..." stretched out interminably. Nowhere does this "Trident" actually come out and say anything, and it isn't until long after my post that you can start to pick out by what other posters are filling in that he's talking about a girlfriend.

Read as a lead-in coy hint with the expectation of a follow-up exposition it is quite normal to play along by throwing a meme into the gap sharing the same sentiment as the hint, as the wait is geared to build an audience the response is designed to say, "Your audience is here so get the fuck on with it already."
Instead I see that this thread just turned out to be a clusterfuck of a in-jokes.

Get over it. Not everyone is in nor cares to be in on the meaningless minutia of the faceless Anandtech women's club, so mistakes such as ***gasp*** outside memes might just happen on occasion.

I think it would make everybody happy if you just posted hentai instead of ponies
