I have a feeling a lot of Wii controllers are going to be accidently thrown...

the problem I see with the wii controllers. group play might be a problem if you only have an average sized living room.

someone's gonna be hitting someone.

It doesn't actually require large gestures, you can get away with just flicking your wrist in many cases.

Does the wii controller vibrate?

If so, I can see a lot of sick/perverted games that the japanese developers will make

😀😀

Haha such a misconception that is! The vibrating action on a controller, phone, or pager (does anyone use them anymore? hehe) is achieved by mounting a tiny electric motor firmly to the chassis. A half moon key is firmly attached to the shaft. When the motor is energized, the extremely off balance motor vibrates the piece. That is quite a different movement than the 'other' vibrator.

Geeez how did I get caught up in this?

Oh and tossing about: that's no accident. Look up Second City TV.

Actually, no, it's not a very different movement. That weird Hitatchi thing withstanding, they're all prettymuch the same mechanism. Different weightings, possibly, but they all operate on the same principle.

I should know, I've taken one apart for modification purposes.

I cant find any of the other links at the moment, but I just saw a short blurb on TV about many, many people destryoing their TV's🙁

If they don't have the motor control to hold the remote and are too dumb to use the strap, they just plain deserve it.

From the few reports I've heard, the strap is actually breaking, sending the remote flying across the room. Granted they shouldn't be swinging that hard, but this is a defect with the strap itself.

The strap has been known to break. Also there is a high chance of damaging/injuring people and property around you, not just your TV. Not everyone has a huge room where they can fit 4 wildly swinging wii players. Sh!t will happen but I doubt Nintendo will be liable for any of it.

There's supposed to be a strap attached to the remote.

Since that's the case, the strap shouldn't break or wear out as much. One of the reasons why some of us seen broken TV screens related to the Wii console is that gamers are just too close to the screen when moving the controller around.

Best to put some distance from yourself to the television screen just to be on the safe side.

heh i knew within 10 minutes of playing that there was going to be problems. the strab is just worthless.
