I have noticed that I lack a sense of humor. Well.... I laugh at alot of things and I find alot of things amusing. But I cannot tell the jokes well...or even tell a joke in the first place. Yes I'm sorta shy but even around my close friends, I am considered unfunny. I was wondering if anyone has any tips or some website or something that will help my sense of humor grow a bit.

watch more t.v., i.e. conan, sitcoms.
 
Every good joke you will ever hear has been "borrowed" from someone else. Don't be afraid to repeat jokes that you thought were hilarious.

yeah..sarcasm cant be used too much. it really irritates your close friends and shows a pessimistic side of you.

definitely watch more tv. you dont have to remember or repeat any of those jokes but it helps build character. always think positive thoughts and all that good stuff.

if all else fails..toilet humor still works.
 
Some people just can't tell stories well. Being able to tell a story well is vital to proficient joke telling.
 
I find too many people use sarcasm in place of wit. It's very amusing in some situations, but it is far too much overused.

Yes, I said it. Lie like a mofo.

Get good at it...lie to the point where you can pull it off like a simple fact that everyone will accept. Do it with a straight face. But only when trying to be funny for everyone - don't be that asshole that tells someone something and lets them believe it when in reality it's stupid and/or immature. I knew a couple older guys who could do this so well it could be hilarious at the right time. 🙂

not necisarily, I think that witty sarcasm with people who you know won't get pissed off can be extremely funny

this is when you know you're doomed to be a nerd for the rest of your life...

Being funny comes natural to funny people. Most of my friends think im the funniest person they know, and I never had to practice it. I just have a natural sense of humor...I'm not really funny online but in life, i'm pretty crazy. Sarcasm is a weak form of humor. I'm just quick with jokes and I pretty much comment one everything that could be funny. And some golden funny moments i've done is just messing with strangers, haha good times.

anyway, enough about me, more about the comp nerd. I don't think you get funnier really. just lighten up. and don't tell jokes with punchlines, most are pretty lame. and god, don't be sarcastic... people over do it so much and think it's funny, but i just really want to punch them.

Yep...most definitely. In fact, without you, this board would be the most uninteresting thing on the Net. In fact, I think I'd probably kill myself and take ffmcobalt with me.
