I am an AT addict. The mods are impeccable. I have seen the community really step it up recently and find myself on here more than I should be. I've had issues in the past, all forgiven. This place is a second home to me despite being so busy lately.

So, Perknose, Mods, and regs, here's to you.

I couldn't be happier to join this community from the early days. We have a smart bunch of guys here.

idk, you've been around long enough apparently, hard for me to believe you have seen the community step it up from the days of linuxboy/WW/etc, back when HT was HT, subscriber days, etc.
 
I joined on the date in my profile. I'm talking about the community over the past year. They are doing a good job.

Nah, just honesty. I tell things how they are. I don't hold back on negativity either. 😉

I remember when I wanted to be a mod. No way I'd ever consider that now, but I'm always happy to contribute and set people straight.

everything seems to be slower in terms of new topics and updates. I don't see how you can be on here constantly. most threads from the day before are only a page or two deep. there isn't much reading material unless you want to read the gun thread, the prometheus thread, or watch/look at the jesus hume christ thread.

I agree with OP... I joined tech forums back in 1999 when I was going to computer school... then I got out of the forums and just became a lurker for a decade due to the bush wacking... then I became an AT addict...D:
 
I had an account in 99 but for some reason I couldn't get in with it one day and i had to create a new one. I've been checking the forum religiously but for some reason I felt like posting more lately myself. P&N is particularly amusing to lurk and pass the time.
 
people don't change that fast so shit's gonna backfire again. What makes the difference is whether you got help in the meanwhile or not.

As for my previous problems, yes I have been in counseling for the past month and a half (2x week, 2 hours each which has cost a LOT of money (just $450 SO FAR, plus another $200) but has been well worth it). I'm also seeing a personal therapist and have my life on track. So yes I would consider myself a more positive, enjoyable person to be around.

I had MAJOR issues with alcohol when I made those previous posts. Me changing my username was actually for a different purpose, but also serves are somewhat of a second start for me here under a much more positive attitude. Yes I still argue, but I offer a good reasons and I'm not out to hate the world. Large corporations maybe, but not everybody here. 🙂
