I have a 300W PSU ... how much power does it consume ?

I mean does it continually use 300 Watts of power or just what's needed ?

Cos if I wanna run game/ftp/web servers then ... BOY! my electric bill will HIT the roof.
That's nearly 1000 Watts per hour!

Well electricity is usually charged per kilowatthour which means using 1000 watts for a sustained one hour period.

But keep in mind that that 300Watt is the maximum rated output of the unit, you won't be using that much constantly.

My electricity bill only went up $20-25 / month canadian to leave my computer on 24/7 and I have a 450Watt PSU
