hmm, saving is NOT an option. not because i can't save it, its just that i don't want to.

so here are some options i'm cosidering

1) Terapin videocd recorder i can get for 400 bucks. easily conveert tivo programs to vcd.

2) COMPAQ iPAQ 3835/3850

3) all the dvds i can buy for 700 bucks

possible 4th option= DVD-RW drive

i have a good 1.33ghz athlon comp so i don't need new computer components. i also have an xbox, gamecube, plastation 2, a 5.1 surrond sound system, 32' sony Wega, an SA tivo and an Directivo.

are there any other options out there? some new electronic device i'm missing?

****UPDATE****

a new reciever (sony) 5x100 dolby digital/dts- 230

7 dvds - pearl harbor, Joe dirt, Blow, Kiss the dragon, enemy at the gates, the patriot, phantoms - (not sure how much that put me back)

If you don't know, don't spend it until you find something you just have to have. You'll be glad you waited.

Well, if you have everything you want, I guess I could use an AMD XP2000 and motherboard. But only if you really want to.:D:D:D

Order whichever you'll receive the most use out of. Personally I'd go for the iPaq and get WiFi!

If you can get 8% interest over the next 40 years that $700 could be worth $15,207.17.

Just thought I'd let you know that.

A Playstation 2, extra controller, DVD remote, with GTA3, SSX, Twisted Metal Black, Tony Hawk, and 3 or 4 extra games. Then buy a nice steak from your supermart and have a grill cookout to celebrate your new purchase. :)

hmmm... you play any instruments? a fender strat and a decent amp could be a really fun way to go with that... i mean... everyone wants to be a rockstar... and chicks dig guys who play guitar... how bout a good paintball setup? that's always fun... a bowflex? those things are great if youre the working out sort... just throwing out some ideas here... take some courses at your local community college? mabye learn another language or something? i mean... money doesn't always have to be about the latest greatest thing you can get... mabye look at how you can use it to facilitate the improvement of youreself... i donno... as i said... just throwing out some ideas....

I have last years version of those sony speakers you have. I doubt there's much difference between mine and yours. Anywho, I like mine a lot. I'm running them as surrounds on my system right now. When I build a new set of mains this spring they'll get handed down to my parents.
