I have 2 Maxtors 250 GB 16 MB Cache Hard Drives would raiding them give me any proformance differece I was hopping it would be faster don't care about if one gets curpt and I losee all my data I just want it faster.

I know this have been covered before but everything I've read seems that no one person agrees with the other so could you please explain it to me, do I need speacial hardware to do this I have a nForce 2 mobo.

Thanks.

RAID 0 would stripe the drives and increase the amount of data you could read and write per second. However, realistically you probably wouldnt notice a difference. Not worth it IMOH.

the performance increase would be so unnoticable that both drives would be an utter waste to put together and have to lose the other valuable gigs in the long run.
