I say we start a campaign!

Edit: They'd have to pay royalties for divx just so you know

it doesn't take too long to re-encode some videos. they never claimed to have divx support so you knew what you were buying

no they didn't say it, but MPEG-4 support, what do you think that means? I mean, they wouldn't support QT (I sure as hell hope not anyways).

so?
isnt it a video game hand held

if you want a portable movie player, buy that Creative thing that plays just about anyuthing

the more things they make it do, the less number of things it will do well

id be thankfull it can play movies at all

Stop blaming Sony for not shelling out Millions in Divx Licensing so you can watch your pirated movies anywhere you want.

It's definitely one hell of an assumption on my part, but by no means is it a strech of the imagination.

then again, you didn't waste a couple hundred dollars on one either. I'm thinkin' of selling it to my brother, and buying a x800xl or something.

It's a fvcking SONY product. King of proprietary technology. WTF did you expect?

Also, MPEG-4 support means it's supports MPEG-4, nothing else. Do you also think your DVD player plays VHS tapes because it says "video"?

actually its for my pirated porn thank you very much 😉

actually, all the movies i own on divx, I do own on DVD. I may not have actaully *bought* the DVD first, but I did later. The main reason I wanted was for fan-subbed anime, which is perfectly legal.

i was under the assumption (perhaps mistaken) that divx was mpeg-4.
