When I click on a Zip file in IE, the dialog box has the option to open from current location grayed out. I can only save it then open it. For some reason it can open from a temp folder with https:// links as opposed to regular old http://. I'm using IE 6 and XP Pro if it helps.
 
is winzip set as the default program for zip files? (right click on a zip file > properties > opens with : _____________ )
 
Here's a simple fix. Download ZipCentral 3.0 from download.cnet.com. It's a freeware program that works well on Win2K. Should work well with XP also.
