I hate you FedEx

I was in the house waiting for my package that was supposed to be signed by me (E6600) when the I saw FedEx truck pull up. I figured I would let the driver knock before I opened the door. Big mistake.

The Driver didn't knock he ran up to the door and placed a note on the door (Delivery Attempt was made) and ran off not leaving the package. I heard a slight bump that may have been a knock but I doubt it

This has happened to me also. Delivery drivers don't knock anymore, they have the form filled out before they even get out of the truck.

Well Hell, if I had know he was just gonna leave a note and not knock I would have thrown open the door ripped the package out of his hands....

Yeah it was pre-filled out for me as well, I think. (He may be a really fast writer)

if i see the delivery guy coming up the driveway i go to the door or even go out and meet him halfway...

I've heard of this happening often, but can someone explain why the driver would be so eager to not deliver a package? It's going to be delivered sometime, so why not get it over with? Especially since the still go up to the house to leave the note - it's not as though they are just driving past and not stopping.

Call them up and raise holy hell. Complain enough and they;'ll send him back. Be sure to tell them you saw him pull up and were just finishing watching something on TV waiting for a knock. Then you went back to the door to see him jogging back to his truck NOT HOLDING A PACKAGE so there's no way he tried to deliver it. Even if you have to lie a little, it's worth it.

I've done that, the driver came back latter that day.

I believe they are on incredibly tight schedules. Most people probably aren't home. If they can skip knocking and waiting for a response it probably buys them a lot of time over the course of a day.

Should I just call the 1-800 number they left?

Sure, you can also inquire about picking it up at your local fedex facility if it's too late for the driver to come back out (I don't know what time zone you're in).

lol, I could just see him sprint to the door, leave the note, run back, and yell "noob!" as soon as you open the door

😀
