I bought a Sun Monitor from ebay and the seller shipped it via USPS. I didn't think much of it and left it at that.
he shipped it out on April 30th with a confirmation number and I havent seen the item!!! I called USPS and they told
me the only information they have is that it was scanned into the system on 4/30. I just love it when the operator tells
me to check back in every evening when they update their database. Stupid stupid stupid!!! And they have these ads
that say to send your packages via USPS instead of UPS and fedex!!! no way will I ever deal with the united states
postal service again!!! this is why I pay my bills online! enough ranting

what should i do now?!?!?!?! any advice? i would like to escalate my problem, but the damn operators don't seem to care.
"please call back tomorrow when we have more information"

Yeah...not a whole lot you can do...what type of shipping did he use and how far away is he?

BTW, delivery confirmation only works when it shows up at your place :)

you got the shaft d00d. Was it insured? Does USPS use tracking #'s? It's not quite the same reason, but that's why i pay all my bills online too.

It's insured. I paid $1 for the insurance -- the seller said insurance is $1. what good does this insurance do for me?

Also, the email says he sent it Parcel Post.

He sent it from texas, which isn't like california!!!

parcel post is the slowest you can send it, that means ground transportation, insurance means that if the package is lost usps will issue a refund, and he can in turn issue you a refund, insurance is normally more expensive (like 3.50) and it goes up based on price of item, but he probably (hopefully) just split the difference with you instead of lying about it. I really wouldn't worry until like 3 weeks or so since it is usps ground, and after a month the seller can claim the insurace, if they don't find your package they issue a refund (in theory)

Parcel Post is suck. Just about as bad as Media Mail. You still need to give it a couple more days, possibly another week.

Patience.

Yup. Wait a month, maybe 6 weeks. It could be only a few miles from where it started sitting in a warehouse waiting to be loaded. Never use Parcel Post, they not only treat those things like empty boxes, it can takes MONTHS for it to get to you.
