i hate to ask but is it possible to buy a REALLY small desktop computer?

I saw a while back some tiny cases with a slow cpu and what not built in - is it possible to buy some really small lightweight desktops that are easily mobile and light and the main thing CHEAP?

sssh I can get a flat panel for well under $300, and if i can get one of these dinky slim super light computers that I saw a while back then it would be much cheaper than a laptop :Q

hahaha.... i dunno, how small is small, exactly? are you seriously talking laptop size? they have fairly small dells that i'm sure you could get for 600-800 or something on a hot deal. but they're still like half a foot thick...

btw it's hard for desktops to be mobile because they have external keyboard, power source, mouse, monitor, etc. every time you want to move, you will have to pack up then unpack. it's a pain!

btw, they should make a senior lifer title for 20k posts

Just checked them but they seem to not really come with much built in do they? I know that it should be possible to pay like $300 for something with everything already in and small

At a call center I use to work at they had HP workstations that would probably be a perfect size for you. They were only about 2 inches wide and 8-10 inches long.

Get one of those desknotes......... cheaper than a laptop but more expensive than a desktop. Very portable.

btw skoorb, they are selling various laptops for like 700-800 after rebate now... dunno if you knew that the ibm r-series at their ebay store is pretty cheap too... i think it was down to 800 or something now.

I did! Compusa has one for $700 after about $45k in rebates.
