I hate this ghetto city. I'm moving.

Move to Stateline. Nice view of Lake Tahoe, Cheap rent if you know where to look.

heh...I went to high school there. Whittel and South Tahoe. Not so sure that its cheap tho.

Lived in Sac too. Check out Roseville and Citrus Heights. Its a little farther, but it gets better and better the farther you get from downtown.

I rented a little cottage by the lake, near Zephyr Lodge. about 700 for a month. No view of the lake, but you can walk to the lake.

My favorite resturant is Nephalies (sp?) or something like that. You can rent the hot tub by the hour while you eat.

only minutes away from Heavenly, but I prefer Sierra, which is on a road towards SAC?

I don't know why there has been so much garbage taking place in the little neighborhood there next to CSUS. the bike trails arent safe these days either, but as a whole sacramento aint all THAT ghetto (see Stockton or Galt)

I wish you luck!

What cities are you considering? How far is Kent from Seattle?

Davis rents are way higher then Sac's, but if you're willing to pay, they generally take better care of the residents here because of all the students.

Sometimes you know they're taking advantage because the students don't know better, but you have associations that make sure the students don't get screwed that much. Aside from that, Davis is like the mall for Sac car theives in the summer anyway since its so quiet and most of the town goes away.

I'd say try going further south into Elk Grove area, but traffic sucks so bad during like 4-6. Going east sucks too.

hahaha...we used to get drunk on a beach near there. Tahoe has changed a lot. More tourist friendly. 700/month isnt bad. I'm surprised its that cheap there. Zephyr Cove, and Stateline is where the richies used to live! hmmm, the legend is Tahoe Tessie comes ashore on the equinox and grabs tourists, which could be why the rent went down.

Yep...right on Hwy 50.

Want ghetto? Try Stockton.....this place is so bad that I'd kill to live in Sac.

Bah Stockton ain't so bad I lived there until I was 16. Had to move out to this shithole. At least there are people who aren't white out in Stockton. Here in Queen Creek, AZ it's horrible, hicks EVERYWHERE. The other day a chicken farmer came in to the Safeway where I work, needless to say when I walked my sweep there was chickenshit and feathers everywhere.

I thought Stockton was in Mexico?

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAA

just kidding. I also lived in Patterson and Los Banos for a summer.

There was a black Camaro sitting on the ground in one of our complex's parking spaces - with no wheels.

Well, I wouldn't make an assumption that an area is bad just because there's a Camaro with no wheels. Chances are equally good that the wheels just broke off of the car on their own. It's a Camaro after all.

Kent is about 10 or 15 miles South of Seattle. It is ghetto in it's own right though. If you want to get away from the crime, you have to head way south, ala Graham, Eatonville, Buckley, Black Diamond, Sumner, Orting, and other places in the immediate volcano path. I live a little South of Puyallup, and while not quite as bad as Federal Way, Kent, or even Auburn, there is still some crime. The Russian mafia that lives down the road from us blew up the parcel box with a pipe bomb and knocked down 10 stop signs, in addition to stealing mail and running a methlab/chop shop. I live out in the sticks too.

If our idiot cops would spend as much time fighting crime as they did speed trapping, it'd be cleaner than a whistle here, it's just a bunch of hooligan kids running hog wild. If you call the cops for something here, the city refers to to the county sheriff, and the county points you back to the city. The Post Office just gets pissed because it's stuff gets broken, but won't put any pressure on the authorities.

I understand where you are coming form Tyler.....you need to get away from all that diversity to feel safe in your being and possessions....exactly why I live where I do, if you are exposed you get hosed!

I'd move to another area of the city. That sounds pretty bad. I walk around at night all the time but I always watch my back when I am not a long a street. I see drunks always drinking in dark areas and I keep my distance.
