I hate the word "cohort".

My local schools liked using that word to split classrooms into groups during the pandemic.

I always imagined the kids putting on Roman armor and battling on a field for supremacy :)

If "cohorts" are a thing...does that mean there are also "horts?"
"Police arrested a hort today, and are investigating several other people suspected of being cohorts."

I feel the same way. I noticed that lately it has become the favourite cringe word among middle management, and those who aspire to be middle management.
