I ordered a DS game for my kids birthday from newegg, newegg shipped via dhl who then, somehow, handed it over to the USPS whos tracking number said it was delivered on saturday which complete BS as it was shipped to my job and the building is closed on weekends. And of course a USPS tracking number is completely useless. ARG!!!!

Thats what you get for using DHL.

Acually I just spoke to newegg, it was first shipped via UPS, then was handed over to DHL who then handed it over to USPS. WTF?!?!?!?! They said wait one more day and if I dont get it they will ship another. They also found it strange that 3 couriers got their hands on this one simple DS game.

The company needs to be open to get mail deliveries? Are you sure it did not get delivered?

Positive. I have had newegg ship here for at least 7 years and never had this issue.

I've noticed most USPS packages show delivered when they get tot your local post office. I usually get them the day after they show delivered. You will probably get it today.

Hey, at least it's better than an item I bought last Monday thru FS/FT which the DC# the seller sent me has no record of existing... though in this case I'm not sure if it's USPS or the seller. Hoping for the best, but might have to order the same item elsewhere... sigh.

I had the exact same thing happen to me (different vendor though).

UPS->DHL->USPS

The package is now over 2 months late. Still shows "delivered" to the local post office. Luckily the vendor sent another shipment and just told me to refuse the original one if it shows up.

Does Newegg have a warehouse in Memphis? The last package I got started in Memphis (isn't that FedEx' main terminal that all their packages get routed through?), and it was shipped UPS.

Hmm, it looks like UPS also hands off/picks up from USPS. The local post office has a FedEx box in front of it (not sure if its still there though), so maybe all three actually do that. I know DHL does, moreso because of Airborne Express and the fact that they don't tend to have smaller hubs in a lot of areas. I wouldn't think that UPS and DHL would hand off a package between them, but then again, maybe due to costs they have it setup to help each other where each one takes the package at points where they have a better infrastructure to maximize efficiency?

Hmm, I did notice someone else say Newegg was using DHL, but they still have it labeled as UPS 3-day. I'm curious if Newegg is doing it or if UPS and DHL are the ones doing it.

At one point in the tracking it says "ARRIVAL DESTINATION DHL GLOBAL MAIL FACILITY and then it says "Tendered to USPS".

So it appears DHL "sold" the shpping to USPS.
