digg is a circle jerk of fanboyism for one cause or another.
a stereotypical digger: a god-hating, apple using, ron paul supporting, wii playing troll who thinks 911 was a conspiracy. i swear, every day theres at least one article about any of those topics

Can't you just filter out these sections or just browse past the Dugg article? I know it's a really hard idea to comprehend. People like you confuse the shit out of me...

That said, I enjoy browsing through Digg but I prefer Fark.

I hate the Scientology circle jerk going on there currently. Yeah we get that it's a crock and there is some pissed off little group of people who want to take it down over the Internet (heh, good luck), but you don't have to digg EVERY SINGLE new article or blog post with the same bullshit over and over again.

I'd say the anti-scientology movement is more than a "pissed off little group."

You were talking about the articles submitted by the users, not the comments. I don't really bother much with the comments. If I do, I sort by Diggs. It's not perfect but it weeds out a lot of the idiots.

I would say every forum out there has people who will post unrelated information in a thread. It's the internet, try not to take it so seriously.

If you sort comments by diggs you are falling directly into the trap. The hardcore group of diggers make sure that any comment that they don't agree with (whether valid or not) is dugg down. You will only get a one sided view of any topic if you sort by diggs. It is really annoying.

Yah I know the way it works. I take it all with a grain of salt anyways...
