i hate the dog in duckhunt

he laughs at me every time i miss a duck. i wish the game would let you shoot him.







sorry...i have 6 hours between classes and no work to do
 
I'm sure it could be emulated for PC (without the IR of course) and make it so you could shoot him.

Man I loved that game and that gun. I hardly ever missed though, so I didn't see the dog that much.

I have always wondered this, how did that light gun work in duckhunt?? There was no way the TV picked up where you were shooting, anyone know how it worked?

The duck on the screen flashes at a particular frequency, and the gun picks up that frequency (it has an extremely narrow field of view). If it sees something flashing at that rate when you pull the trigger, it signals a "hit".

Which is why that white square appears around the duck/skeet every time you fire.

my dorm room is only 13'x14'....with all the beds and clothes and desks all over, u can only get 7 or 8 feet away...tops
